Every respondent who takes a Personality Survey is assigned one of nineteen personality profiles based on their scores across the four core dimensions. Profiles aren't configurable per organization: the set is fixed, so a Coordinator on one client's dashboard means the same thing as a Coordinator on any other client's dashboard.
There's no "better" profile. Each one describes a distinct way of showing up at work.
How a profile is assigned
The four dimension scores (Self Direction, Sociability, Patience, Formality) combine into a shape. Each profile is a specific shape. When a respondent's scores match a profile's shape, they're assigned that profile. For details on what each dimension measures and how to read the scores, see Understanding Dimension Scores.

Profiles are organized into four groups based on their overall orientation.

Adapter
Adapter sits outside the four groups. Where most profiles are defined by dominant high or low ends on the four dimensions, an Adapter's scores land in a tight range across all four without a strong pull in any direction. That balanced shape lets Adapters flex their style to whatever the situation calls for.
Reading the profile narrative
Every profile comes with a narrative explaining how it typically shows up: strengths, communication style, motivations, and how the person tends to be managed. You'll see the profile name and group on any submission or contact page. Once respondents start taking surveys and getting matched to profiles, open any submission to read the full narrative for their profile.
